I think I need to sit down. Or maybe lie down. My calculator definitely needs a rest. One Direction may have lost a member, but they can comfort themselves with their touring revenue and by selling out the concerts. One Direction reported concert receipts from the Australian and Asian legs of their World tour during Feb and March (granted Zayn left the tour on the 25th and that is the last report we have for this period). One Direction managed to bring in $68,259,640 in revenue while selling out 19 concerts and performing for 565,853 fans (well, some were probably parents). They averaged $3,592,613 per concert and 29782 tickets. Simon’s baby is going to get a new pair of shoes.
Their franchisemates, Fifth Harmony, were also headlining an international tour. They may not be playing for as big of crowds, but their tour is right-sized. They frequently sell-out and even when they don’t, the venues are more than 80% full.
So You Think You Can Dance and The Sing-Off were also touring.
