Idols In Concert – Stats – 06/09/16

Zayn and Fifth Harmony performed at the KISS FM Wango Tango that sold-out to 21K+ fans and brought in almost $1.7M. X-Factor franchise-mates Little Mix performed two concerts in Manchester – one of which sold-out and another which nearly did. The Voice’s The Swon Brothers are opening for Idol’s Carrie Underwood for 9 concerts in this report – most of which sold-out. Bea Miller from the X-Factor US is opening for Selena Gomez and DNCE while Pentatonix is headlining in LA. Finally, we have our third X-Factor US alumni in Emblem3 who gave a concert in LA.

In other news, Beyonce is getting sued because the trailer for her HBO special is similar to some indie movie some guy put out at some time on youtube. There are nine similarities during 39 seconds of the 60 second trailer. Fulks wants all the profits stemming from the trailer including from the sale of the album. At the rate copyright suits are coming in, she’ll probably be sued for using the same 4 notes as somebody once did, having a similar vibe to another song and having the same chord progression of some song somebody once sang at the Knitting Factory in Spokane on a Tuesday night. She’s going to have to pay the profits for that album out like 5 times. People will go broke being successful artists. Serves her right – in a world where trailers exist, originality and uniqueness collide while one man will embark on a mission to change the world and although, things are not as they seem, there is one undeniable truth, no trailer has ever contained elements of another.
