This week on the concert front, we have X-Factor UK, Idolsx2, a Voice winner and the group that put the Sing-off on the map.
One Direction continues to churn money. This time, they take their opening act (5 Seconds of Summer) on a swing through Arizona and Texas to sell-out 3 concerts and earn almost $13M. Their 4th studio album (“Four”) is due out on November 17th.
Meanwhile, Ruben Studdard was part of a concert in Washington DC that also featured Patti Labelle. They earned some sizeable cash and Patti always tears down the house. Daughtry was opening for the Goo Goo Dolls in Columbus.
Cassadee Pope won the third season of The Voice and continues to build her country roots touring with many big name acts in that format. She opened for Darius Rucker in New Hampshire.
Finally, we have Pentatonix. They leveraged their Sing-off win to become youtube stars and after becoming a sensation, they got signed to a major label. Currently, they are touring in Australia.
