Rumors have been swirling for weeks, but now it’s confirmed the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show will be headlined by pop star Lady Gaga. The singer announced the news via twitter on Thursday night.

The NFL confirmed the news as well, tweeting a mini music video of gametime footage intercut with Gaga’s latest single, “Perfect Illusion.”

Prior Super Bowl halftime show headliners have included: Coldplay, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Madonna and more. Now, I wonder which artist will land the coveted National Anthem gig? Speculation welcome. How about American Idol 9 singer, Tori Kelly? She gets my vote.
The 51st Super Bowl championship event is set to take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on February 5, 2017.
