Jake Hoot and Wife Drop Celebratory “Wherever Time Goes” (Audio)

Just in time to ring in their one year wedding anniversary, Jake Hoot releases “Wherever Time Goes” featuring his wife, Brittney Hoot. The Season 17 winner of The Voice penned the duet with hitmakers Houston Philips (Jason Aldean, Tyler Farr) and Michael Farren (Reba, Michael W. Smith) and it was produced by Danny Myrick. With Jake serving as the primary lead vocalist and Brittney taking on harmony and lead on the second verse, “Wherever Time Goes” is available to download and stream everywhere.

The couple met years ago when asked to sing a duet for their mutual friends’ wedding. The two reconnected in 2020 and officially tied the knot on March 7, 2021.  Jake and Brittney share a love of music and she often takes the stage with him at live shows to sing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” In a full-circle moment, Jake brought Brittney on to duet with him on their first, original collaboration.

The release of “Wherever Time Goes” follows Jake’s holiday collaboration with multi-platinum Canadian group The Tenors, “When Christmas Has Come And Gone.”  The song got a standing ovation when performed by the four vocalists at the Grand Ole Opry. The group also performed the song on coach Kelly Clarkson’s afternoon talk show.
