Jennifer Hudson to Simon Cowell after The Voice DIss: “You Know You Adore Me!”

Jennifer Hudson IS TELLING Simon Cowell that SHE’S NOT GOING.

After word spread earlier this week that Simon Cowell stopped an X Factor UK hopeful from singing Jennifer Hudson’s signature song, “And I Am Telling You” the American Idol season 3 alum has clapped back on social media.

Mind you, Simon didn’t request a different song because, for instance, the Dreamgirls classic has been done TO DEATH on singing shows. Most of us would welcome THAT sort of intervention. But reportedly, Simon requested a different song from the auditioner because he feels it’s “too heavily linked to another show.”

And that show would be The Voice, where the Oscar winner served as coach in the UK earlier this year. Jennifer is also serving as coach for the US version, set to air in the fall.

It appears that Simon is feeling a leetle bit competitive with The Voice UK these days, despite the fact that it airs on the same network, ITV.

Jhud’s reaches back to her gospel roots for the response. “#simoncowell Wow … you should know by now that not even u can stop Gods will!,” She wrote along with a screengrab of a few choice headlines.

Then, Jennifer sang Simon a little ditty and captioned it, “In the words of “Effie White ” #simoncowell you know u adore me . Stop fighting it . Lol” Effie White is the  character she played in her Oscar winning turn for the movie version of Dreamgirls.

In the meantime, Jennifer and her fellow The Voice US coaches, have spent the past week filming the season 13 Blind Auditions. Fellow coach Miley Cyrus posted a little snip of JHud singing a bit of “I Know Where I’ve Been” from NBC’s Hairspray Live. Hello Emmy!
