Disqualified American Idol Season 11 contestant, Jermaine Jones, plead guilty to various charges on Tuesday, including giving a false name to police. For hindering apprehension, Jermaine was fined $200, plus $30 in court costs and $125 in related penalties.
Jermaine faced a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
The judge dismissed a second hindering charge in which Jermaine was once again accused of giving a false name to police investigating a disturbance call at a Howard Johnson’s in March 2011.
A separate charge of driving with a suspended license against Jermaine was not resolved Tuesday.
His attorney, Terrell A. Ratfliff of Camden, is expecting the charge to be dismissed within the next 30 days.
“I’m glad most of it’s taken care of,” Jermaine said of his recent legal troubles. “And I’m grateful to all my fans who’ve stuck by me.”
Jermaine just released a new R&B single, “All Around the World,” featuring the rapper Free-Stal. The song is available for download on iTunes. Seriously. I Had NO idea. Does Jermaine still have fans?
