Jessica Sanchez dropped by the Today show this morning to perform. Phillip Phillips was scheduled to perform with her, but he has cancelled all of his promo appearances this week in anticipation of having surgery that will correct a congenital kidney problem.
To that end, Jessica told host, Matt Lauer, that she was proud of Phil, who was back in California working on his issues.
She’s also proud of herself and although she had some bumps the last few weeks of the competition, she has no regrets. Matt mentioned that Tommy Mattola would be working with Jessica on her debut album.
After, Jessica sang “I Will Always Love You”.
