Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are officially introducing their baby girl. Last week, according to reports, John announced the baby’s birth during a private concert. But finally, the couple are revealing new details
“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens” Chrissy wrote in an Instagram comment alongside a photo of the couple’s other children, son Miles Theodore, 4½, and daughter Luna Simone, 6½, holding their baby sister. “The house is bustling and our family could not be happier. Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes – we feel it all! X”
The musician and The Voice coach shared the same photo on his own Instagram writing, “”On Friday, we welcomed Esti Maxine Stephens to our family, and our house is overflowing with love and joy.”
“I’m in awe of Chrissy’s strength and resilience and I’m so thrilled to see how Luna and Miles embrace their baby sister. I’m so, so grateful, but that doesn’t seem like a big enough word…,” he concluded.
Chrissy underwent IVF treatments in order to get pregnant. The couple told Miles and Luna early on about the pregnancy, Chrissy told People magazine.
“They’ve been excited for a long time,” Chrissy added. “I feel like this is going to be the longest pregnancy to them because they’ve known since the day. But they’ve been really very excited.”
“Since we did IVF, we knew probably nine days after we did the transfer that it had worked and we were pregnant,” she said. “I told them very, very early.”
The birth of their baby comes after the couple experienced a pregnancy loss in October 2020.
