Fresh off a run on Dancing with the Stars, Jordin Sparks drops a new single “Stop This Feeling.” Written by Jamall Smith, Sparks and Randy Nevels, “Stop This Feeling” has big Janet Jackson 80’s vibes. It’s a dance tune with a groove and funky horns.

Earlier this year, The American Idol season 6 winner shared that she was working on a new album. “I don’t think you guys are ready because it’s not just an album. It’s a lot of music. I spent the second half [of] 2020 and 2021 going through and recording music,” She continued, “Last year. I was in the studio at least four times a week, writing and recording.”

“Our goal was to write and record a hundred songs [last year] and I did that, and then some .”

Jordin recorded a few collaborations: “I did get to be in studio with the one and only T-Pain and that has been a dream of mine,” she said “I’ve been wanting to work with him for so long.”

Additionally, Jordin recorded with Young Dro. “‘Shoulder Lean’ was THE song in my childhood I remember about the listening to in the car,” she gushed.

Jordin exited Dancing with the Stars in 9th place

Jordin and her pro-partner Brandon Armstrong left Dancing with the Stars in 9th place. Later, Jordin shared on social media that she finally said yes to DWTS “to do something that scared me.”

“I had been offered to do the show before and, out of fear, said no,” said Jordin “Who would have known it would become something I would take so much pride in, be so proud of, and would become such a fulfilling experience all-around for me!”

She ended her message, “I’m most proud of: showing my little guy to go after things that scare you,” she said about setting an example for her son four year old song Dana Isaiah Jr., “It’s the only way to grow. Bringing him on set and showing him to challenge yourself is something I hope he will take with him.”
