Josiah Leming Debut Album ‘Come On Kid’ Out 9/14, Tour Dates and Track List

It’s been a long wait, but the debut album from Season 7 Idol contestant, Josiah Leming is finally here. The album, Come On Kid, will be released on September 14 from Warner Bros. Records.

The first single, “Maybe” goes to radio this month.  According to this new profile from Billboard, the title track will follow.

Josiah wrote or co-wrote all the tracks on the album and plays guitar and keyboards throughout. Jesse Owen Astin, David Kosten, Martin Terefe and Warren Huart each produced tracks on the album which was recorded in Los Angeles and London.  Fans can look forward to seeing Josiah on the road this summer, touring to 25 major markets in the US.

Big Josiah fan here! While his vocal abilities may not have measured up to some of his fellow contestants, Josiah is easily one of the best songwriters to come out of American Idol. He really has a gift.

Really looking forward to the new album–now, Josiah’s got to schedule some concert dates in New England.

From the press release:

Leming was signed to Warner Bros. Records by Sr. VP of A&R Perry Watts-Russell who has worked with Radiohead, Marc Cohn, and Everclear and who signed Damien Rice, Muse, Secret Machines and others to Warner Bros. Since Idol, Leming toured the US and released two EPs for WBR. Early last summer his mother passed away after a long illness. Afterwards, Leming says, “I took the entire summer to find my footing. Both emotionally and in my career.” After a period of self reflection, he recorded the majority of Come On Kid.
