Any of you who were up late last night may have witnessed Kanye West unload a massive rant on Jimmy Kimmel. Why? Because of a harmless little skit from the comedian’s late night talk show that had little kids reenact a recent Kanye interview with the BBC.
In the interview, the rapper rants about leather jogging pants, declares himself the number one rockstar on the planet, and is generally his typical self-aggrandizing, narcissistic self.
Kanye’s statements were so outrageous, that the interview went viral, and was ripe for parody. The skit is not especially mean spirited. Anyone with a smidgen of self awareness would have laughed along, or blown it off.
A series of angry tweets, in all caps, appeared on twitter last night from Kanye.

Jimmy was just about to begin taping his talk show when Kanye erupted. Addressing the situation on the show, Jimmy swore the rant wasn’t a set up (like his recent twerking fail prank), and that Kanye had called him on the phone and threatened him before he began his twitter rampage. Jimmy reads Kanye’s tweets on the air. A couple were a little too profane to post here.
The question is: Was it just more attention seeking from Kanye, or was he really steamed over a lame skit? Bizarre.
