Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, artists have found even more reasons to animate their work. Is it unsafe or impossible to get cast and crew together to shoot a music video? Animate it! The FOX singing competition, The Masked Singer, began animating their contestant clue packages, for instance, which made life a whole lot easier for producers, probably.
Now, Kelly Clarkson and Brett Eldredge have released an utterly delightful animated clip for their Christmas duet, “Underneath the Mistletoe.” In it, friends and would-be lovers get together for a festive Christmas dinner. Needless to say, hilarity ensues!

If you want to see Kelly and Brett sing the song live and in person, tune into the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday night (Dec 11), where the American Idol OG winner, The Voice coach and talk show host joins the country singer for a duet. The two also performed the song on The Voice Semifinal Results episode earlier this week (Dec 7).
“I love writing new Christmas songs that have a classic, throwback vibe,” Kelly said in a statement. “Brett is such an amazing singer and I was so impressed by his classic sound on his Christmas record so it was a perfect match for picking a duet partner for ‘Under The Mistletoe.’”
