It was more than an appreciation for 80’s power ballads that moved Kelly Clarkson to pick Bryan Adam’s “Heaven” as her latest fan request cover.
On stage at the USANA Amphitheater in Salt Lake City Saturday (Aug 9), Kelly explained that the song was requested by a fan, but the choice was inspired by her husband, Brandon Blackstock.
“I chose this one because this is my husband’s…one of his favorite songs, explained Kelly, “And he’s here tonight.”
“Heaven” joins other inspired covers Kelly has performed on stage since she has embarked on her Piece by Piece tour with a cappella sensations, Pentatonix, including, “Purple Rain”, “Wrecking Ball”, “Blank Space”, “Bye Bye Bye”, Jealous, and more.
