Kelly Clarkson Covers Taylor Swift’s Shake it Off!
Yep. This is pretty awesome. Kelly Clarkson covered Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” at a Buffalo Microsoft Store opening on Saturday (October 25).
The fun thing? You had no idea what song she was going to sing when she introduced the “soulful” tune and began the cover all slowed up and church like. And then she shifted into pop mode, and there was no mistaking the hit song. At one point in the performance she does a little call-and-response with her back up singer and Kelly is all like YOU GO GIRL.
It’s really the perfect song for the American Idol winner to cover–with its GIRL POWER theme, amazing pop hook and bright melody–Kelly couldn’t go wrong. I’m so happy one of my fave singers has continued the tradition of adding covers to her concert set list!
