Happy Mothers day, all you mommies out there, celebrating the day in the United States! In honor of the day, American Idol season 8 winner, Kris Allen releases a cover of “Return to Pooh Corner,” as requested by his mom!
The song was written by Kenny Loggins–a slightly tweaked followup to the 70’s classic he wrote and recorded with his band at the time, Loggins & Messina.
“I know you’ve been wanting me to sing this song pretty much since I started playing the guitar,” says Kris, introducing the song. “I learned a little bit of it today. Happy Mothers Day mom! I love you so much.”
“No wonder it’s taken me forever to play this song,” Kris quips in the Youtube notes, “There are a thousand chords in it.”
