Kris Allen opened his winter 2014 tour in Watseka, IL last night. According to concert goers, he performed a slew of new songs from the album he is currently recording with producer Charlie Peacock.
Some of the new songs the American Idol 8 winner performed were “Paul Simon,” “Dance” mashed up with “I Want You Back,” “In Time” and more. He also performed old favs like “Alright With Me,” “Out Alive,” “Monster,” “Rooftops” and “Better with You.”
Kris introduced a new song, titled “It’s Always You,” as a ballad written with a college pal, Adam Hambrick, who has a co-write on Justin Moore’s new record Off the Beaten Path.
Kris closed the show with a song written especially for the tour called, fittingly “This is the End of the Show.” Kris said he wrote it on the fly but his band members thought it sucked so they changed a lot of it. It is not for the album. They call it the dorkiest song ever!
