The reigning American Idol winner Laine Hardy performs his new song “Ground I Grew Up On” from his home in Livingston, Louisiana for Live with Kelly and Ryan.
Accompanying himself on guitar, Laine’s drummer who has been playing music with him since he was seven, keeps the beat.
Laine describes “Ground I Grew Up On” as a “sentimental back home song,” he adds, “It brings back a lot of memories for me growing up, as a kid, just being barefooted, climbing trees and all that stuff.” Laine added, “This song has a good meaning behind it. It’s a really heartfelt song for home.”
Hm. Hopefully the sound quality better when American Idol streams contestant performances when she show goes remote for the remaining new episodes.

Laine has announced a LIVE tour scheduled to kick off at the end of June (That date seems optimistic). The singer is the midst of a virtual tour, including a performance for American Idol scheduled to air on April 19. Check out Laine’s website for more.
