American Idol season 10 runner-up and country singer Lauren Alaina released her brand-new song, “Getting Good” on Friday (Sept 27). It available now on all digital platforms with an official radio add date of Oct. 7. With “Getting Good,” written by Emily Weisband and produced by David Garcia, the critically- Georgia vocalist gives listeners an encouraging, upbeat reminder to live in the now.
Speaking of living in the now, Lauren is currently competing on Dancing with the Stars. She and her partner Gleb Savchenko are taking to the dance floor every Monday night, hoping to eventually bring home the mirror ball trophy. The show airs at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC.
After Lauren is finished with DWTS, she will get ready for her That Girl Was Me tour, kicking off in January. The singer was originally set to hit the road this fall, but pushed back the schedule to accommodate her stint on Dancing with the Stars, which ends its season in November.
