American Idol sweethearts Maddie Poppe (winner!) and Caleb Lee Hutchinson (runner-up!) dropped by Billboard magazine for a live interview and performance.
During the chat, the two talked about their romantic relationship, competing on Idol and the upcoming tour with the Top 7 and season 8 winner Kris Allen. The interview capped off with a performance.
First Maddie and Caleb joined forces on Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing at All,” followed by as sweet acoustic performance by Maddie of her coronation single, “Going Going, Gone.”

Currently, the Top 7–which also includes Gabby Barrett, Cade Foehner, Michael J. Woodard, Catie Turner and Jurnee–are in Los Angeles rehearsing for the American Idol Live tour. On July 4th, Maddie will perform at AmeriFest, which takes place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Caleb will perform for the Georgia Salutes America broadcast (local to the area).
Then, it will be back to rehearsal before the tour kicks off on July 11.
