With the White House hosting its own Fourth of July event this year at the Lincoln memorial, some may have wondered what it meant for the annual A Capitol Fourth concert. The PBS special takes place on the west lawn of the capitol every year and usually features fan favorite competition reality stars.
Well, the show WILL go on as usual, the folks who produce the Capitol specials have announced. The Voice winner Maelyn Jarmon will perform the national anthem and American Idol winner Laine Hardy will perform. America’s Got Talent stars Lindsey Stirling and Angelica Hale are also on the bill. From the Capitol Fourth Facebook page:
Join us Thursday, July 4 at 8/7c on PBS for the 2019 A Capitol Fourth hosted by John Stamos and featuring Carole King with the Broadway cast of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical starring Vanessa Carlton, Sesame Street, Lindsey Stirling, Vanessa Williams, Keala Settle, Lee Brice, Gone West featuring Colbie Caillat, Yolanda Adams, Laine Hardy, Angelica Hale, Maelyn Jarmon, MusiCorps and Maestro Jack Everly conducting the National Symphony Orchestra!
