American Idol 13 constant, Majesty Rose, looked like she could take it all at the start of last season’s competition, but a few stumbles and a loss of confidence led to her early elimination in 9th place.
Now, the 22 year old North Carolina native is poised to release her original music, but first, she’s beginning a series called the Majesty Rose Cover Project.
First up is the singer’s unique spin on Coldplay’s hit “Sky Full Of Stars.” I loved Majesty’s quirky style early on in the competition. Here, backed up by a solid band, the singer changes up Coldplay’s melody, making it uniquely her own. Majesty’s ability to flip songs was the thing that made her stand out from the others on Idol. Hopefully, out from under the pressure of competition she’s finding her own voice.
