Former American Idol judge, Mariah Carey, is dissing the show again. This time, the shade came during an interview with Australian radio hosts, Kyle and Jackie O.
Asked if she would consider returning to Idol for a reunion show during its last season, she declared “Hell, no! Absolutely not, that was the worst experience of my life.”
“So boring and so fake,” she called the show, explaining that “you have to make up things to say about people.”
“Half the time the performances are good and you’d just be like ‘it was good’ and you feel like ending it there. ‘You were really good’…
“I’m not going to get into what it was. Let’s just say, I don’t think they had any intentions of us having a good experience through that show.”
She also commented on her “feud” with fellow judge Nicki Minaj, saying, “Pitting two females against each other wasn’t cool.
“It should have been about the contestants instead of about some non-existent feud that turned into even more ridiculousness and I would never want to be involved in it again, but everyone else can like it.”
Gee. Mariah’s insecurity and her passive aggressive remarks had nothing to do with why that panel tanked. I’m pretty sure Nicki didn’t always have a great experience on Idol either, but unlike Mariah, she has had nothing but good things to say about the show when asked. She has even reached out to former contestants to give them a hand.
Too bad, Mariah, that you didn’t get to be queen bee on the panel. You needed to suck it up and ride out the year without causing drama. You got your big fat paycheck in the end. How bad can that be?
