Remember Michael Sarver? The Texas native performed R&B classics when he was a Top 10 finalist on American Idol season 8. But since leaving the show, the crooner has switched his focus to country music, and has never looked back.
Michael dropped a self-titled album via Dream Records/Universal Music Group in 2009, from which a couple of singles were released. Unfortunately, the label didn’t have the means to promote his music to radio, and the songs went nowhere. After he and the label parted ways, the singer continued to record and perform music as an independent artist.
It’s been awhile, but Michael has finally released a new track this week. “Miss You Something Crazy,” is an upbeat, self-penned tune, and is available for download from iTunes right now.
Releasing a new song independently means getting out there and shaking a few hands. The singer recently attended the ACM Honors, where two fellow American Idol alums appeared. Carrie Underwood received a prestigious award, while Kelly Clarkson performed in honor of the songwriter Shane McAnally.
Nice to see Michael out working the tune to industry types!
