Miley Cyrus had a “wardrobe malfunction” (WINK WINK) as she kicked off a performance of “Party in the USA” on Friday Night’s Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party live in Miami on NBC.
As she was just about to lose her skimpy, shimmery top, the singer turned her back to the audience and allowed the top to drop altogether. As she headed back stage to find a coverup, the band and backup singers took over the song. The camera cut to a view of the stage from the audience as Miley scrambled to cover up backstage.

When the former The Voice returned to the stage, she wore a big red blazer from earlier in the show, unbuttoned, but no shirt underneath. STILL risking another mishap. And apparently it happened. After Saweetie joined Miley for the last part of the song, and it was time for Miley to leave the stage, she turned sideways and her breast “slipped out.” (SURE).
Considering how much Miley loves to be naked, what’s the over under on the whole mishap being a stunt? Or maybe she’s just careless when it comes to her wardrobe.
“Everybody’s definitely looking at me now,” Miley cracked as she returned to the stage, adding, “I’m still in the most clothes that I’ve ever worn on stage.”
The special was SNL producer Lorne Michaels’ first crack at producers a New Year’s special. (The Voice’s Carson Daly hosted it for years). SNL cast member, Pete Davidson co-hosted the show with Miley.
