Six milestones this week on the BB200.
Popular Idol Season 5 contestant Chris Daughtry is back on the chart this week with his band’s “Separate Ways” featuring Lzzy Hale. The song enters the Active Rock chart in top 40. This song is a non-album single. It is a cover of Journey’s original hit and Chris was inspired to do the cover after hearing it used effectively on an episode of “Stranger Things”.
Colton Dixon’s “Build a Boat” yields the top spot on the CAC chart after spending 9 weeks there. This charity single from Idol’s 11th season 7th place finisher crosses over to debut on AC this week.
Jax is also from Idol and her viral hit “Victoria’s Secret” entered the top 10 on Pop this week.
Two songs move into the top 5 on Country music this week. First up, at number 4, is Gabby Barrett’s “Pick Me Up”. “Pick Me Up” is the fourth single from the Idol’s debut album “Goldmine” and the third from that album to enter the top 5. Morgan Wallen is working the second single from his TBA album. “Thought You Should Know” is fifth on the chart this week. The Voice’s alum’s previous album from 2020 continues in the top 10 on the BB200. “Dangerous: The Double Album” is 6th this week with 43K in equivalent album sales (+2% over last week).
“Harry’s House” from Harry Styles is 10th on the BB200 with 26K in equivalent album sales (-10%). The second single from that album is called “Late Night Talking” and it entered the top 10 on AC this week.
Last week, AGT’s Wyn Starks had two milestones with “Who Am I”. It went top 30 on HAC and top 20 on AC.
