Just one milestone this week and it’s from one of our new Idols…
Casey Bishop may have not made it to final three, but her coronation song is the first to chart on radio. We only got to hear a short sample of the song last week and this week “Love Me, Leave Me” debuts on the AC chart. Congratulations to Casey!
Carrie Underwood’s “Nothing But the Blood of Jesus” returns to the CAC charts.
Over on the iTunes chart, BTS released a new song and there is no competing with them. Nevertheless, Season 19 Idol Winner Chase Beckham has parked his “23” between BTS’s two versions of “Butter” and his holding strong at number 2. Grace Kinstler who came in third has her “Love Someone” at 167. “Never e Alone” by runner-up Willie Spence is 227th.
Also, several of the songs performed last night are in the Top 200 of iTuenes as well. Chayce and Luke Combs teamed up on “Forever After All” which is 8th. Fall Out Boy sang “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” with the Top 10 guys and it is at 37th. Leona Lewis dueted with Willie on “You Are the Reason” and the song is now 40th. Hunter and Katy combined on a version of “Thinking of You” now at 56th. “Living on a Prayer” originally by Bon Jovi is at 163rd after being sung by Luke Bryan and Casey Bishop. Chaka Khan and others from the Top 10 sang “Ain’t Nobody” which is 186th. At 187th, is Ed Sheeran’s “Afterglow” which Chayce performed.
Over on the BB200, Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” slips to 4th (from second) with 53K in equivalent albums (up 2% over last week). I think he’s going to win some more Billboard awards next year.
