Just one milestone to close out the year.
With Christmas song spins ramping up to Christmas and then suddenly falling off the cliff, bullets are lost, songs are stagnant and the charts look a little ugly. Remember the heady days of iTunes gift cards inflating the single charts to stratospheric numbers? Remember the pre-Christmas album numbers? Remember going to stores?
Vedo achieves the only real milestone this week with his “You Got It” moving into the top 40 on Urban. The song is also top 30 on UAC and on the Rhythmic chart. Vedo was on Usher’s team on the Fourth Season of The Voice.
Carrie Underwood, Season 4 Idol winner, sees two songs return to former heights. “Little Drummer Boy” with her son Isiah returns to the top 40 on the AC chart while “Mary, Did You Know” returns to the chart. Harry Styles also has two songs return to previous milestones on AC. “Adore You” is back in the top five while “Watermelon Sugar” is top 15 again. CAC sees the return of Danny Gokey’s “Love God Love People” to the top 40.
