Milestones this week from Season 1 and Season 5 of Idol as well as those from those moppets from UK XF.
Kelly Clarkson, the original American Idol winner, has three milestones this week for three different songs. First up is “Catch My Breath” which moved into the top 20 on the Pop format. This song is anchoring her “Greatest Hits” album and it looks like it belongs there. She also released a Country song featuring Vince Gill. “Don’t Rush” went top 40 on Country. Finally, her entry into the Christmas catalog, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” jumped into the top 10 this week on AC.
Mandisa, who finished a distant 9th on Season 5, has become a staple on CAC. Thus, it’s not surprise her Christmas song “It’s Christmas” has raced up the chart over the past few weeks and is now sitting in the top 10 of that format.
And last up, One Direction from Season 7 of the UK X-Factor with “Little Things”. Their second single from their second album goes top 30 on Pop.
