As the charts shake off the last vestiges of Christmas music, a bunch of songs drop off of our charts and other songs return to their former positions. We have 3 milestones from Idol winners and a milestone each from UK XF and The Voice.
The original American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson’s new single representing her “Greatest Hits” album achieves top 20 on Pop and returns to the top 20 on AC. “Catch My Breath” is now in the top 20 in the three mainstream formats.
Season 3 winner, Fantasia, pops up on the UAC chart with her new single “Lose to Win” entering the top 50. She’s always done well on that chart and this single is going for adds this week.
Meanwhile, season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood, moves up into the top 15 with the third single (“Two Black Cadillacs”) from her fourth studio album (“Blown Away”).
“Little Things”, the second single from One Direction’s (3rd on UK XF’s 7th Season) from their second album, moves into the top 50 on HAC. .
Finally, from the Voice, Season 1 contestant Vicci Martinez (with her mentor/judge Cee Lo Green) enters the top 30 on HAC with “Come Along”
Returing to the top 15 on AC is Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Good Time” (with Owl City) while Season 7 contestant Jason Castro returns to the top 20 on CAC. Kelly’s “Don’t Rush” on Country with Vince Gill returns to the top 40. Chris Mann’s Christmas song on AC disappears while his non-holiday song “Roads” reappears in the top 40.
