Monday Ratings: New Year’s Rocking Eve Posts Best Ratings in 12 Years

ABC’s New Years Rockin Eve earned its biggest ratings in 12 years.  It was the first year without the legendary Dick Clark at the helm, and although there is no doubt Ryan Seacrest could fly solo, I think the curiosity factor had viewers tuning in.  Plus, its celebrity lineup was loaded with stars such as Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. Rockin’ Eve pretty much slaughtered The Carson Daly hosted special over on NBC.

FOX’s New Years Eve Live didn’t begin airing until after the local news at 11 pm. We’ll have to wait until the late night numbers are released to see how it fared (poorly, I’m guessing).

ABC was number one with adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On ABC, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Celebrates Dick Clark scored a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating. Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest garnered a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating, it’s biggest rating in 12 years.

On NBC, New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly earned a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating, up from last year’s 0.9 rating.
