National Spelling Bee Contestant Fail (FUNNY) (VIDEO)

I would never laugh at a poor teenager getting tossed from the Scripps National Spelling Bee after misspelling a word. But this is funny.

Jacob Williamson, 15, was ABSOLUTELY SURE he knew how to spell “kabaragoya” (what?1?) correctly. His over-confident shout “I know it! I know it! I just totally know it!” is hilarious and had me rooting for him to triumph over the word. But alas, he spelled it wrong, right off the bat, beginning with the letter “C”. His reaction is pretty amusing, too. He seemed to take the fail in stride.

The winners of the competition, which aired last night on ESPN, were Sriram Hathwar, 14, and Ansun Sujoe, 13. They’re the event’s first co-champions in 52 years.

Check out the winning moment.
