NBC unveiled it’s Fall schedule ahead of next week’s Upfronts in New York City for advertisers. The network has cancelled Constantine, State of Affairs, One Big Happy, About a Boy and Marry Me.
The Voice keeps its Monday/Tuesday schedule. Why wouldn’t it? It’s doing just fine right where it is. The real surprise of the renewals was the return of the low rated police procedural, The Mysteries of Laura, starring Debra Messing.
If you’re interested in summaries of the new shows, NBC has the details.
Notable: Craig T. Nelson is coming back as Coach. The network is also rebooting Heroes. Maybe they’ll do it right this time. It doesn’t have a spot on the schedule yet, but Jennifer Lopez stars in Shades of Blue, a police procedural about dirty cops. Produced by Ryan Seacrest! What’s the odds Jlo will be back as an American Idol judge? I’d say pretty much nil. Neil Patrick Harris hosts a limited series variety show. Let’s see if he can bring the format back! And of course there is The Wiz! Live, which will hit the airwaves in December.
