The new content pacts further build on Kin’s “neighborhood” strategy, focused on creating an interconnected network of owned-and-operated channels targeted at millennial women across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram TV and Amazon. Sparks, the winner of “American Idol” season 6 back in 2007, has over 12 million social-media followers. “American Idol” winner to perform March 15 in Q-C – Maddie Poppe, winner in May of ABC’s “American Idol,” will perform a benefit concert March 15 at Rhythm City Casino, 7077 Elmore Ave., Davenport, to raise money for Gilda’s Club Quad-Cities. Bucky Covington to headline Boots & Roots Music Festival – “We’re definitely going to have an awesome time.” That’s how headlining act Bucky Covington referenced the Boots & Roots Music Festival concert to benefit veterans scheduled for Saturday at the Stanly County Fairgrounds. Covington said he has started his own record label. “The best thing about having your own record label is you don’t have anybody telling you what to do. You can do what you want to,” he said.
