A few late night tweets from Nigel Lythgoe:
On my way to Atlanta for #SYTYCD. I am feeling somewhat overwhelmed at work. The Top 20 show was so dramatic and will now begin on Wednesday.
The #Idol talent was so strong this year, the judges lost sleep over their choices. Instead of a top 20 they eventually decided on a top 24.
I need to sleep but I’ve been working with the contestants on song choices today and I “Can’t stop the Music” spinning round in my head.
It’s a little unclear what Nigel means, but I take it that part of Wednesday’s 2 hour episode will be devoted to the Top 24 reveal.
Both episodes this week are 2 hours long. What could be so epic about the Top 24 reveal that it needs more than two hours to explain? And why would Nigel give short shrift to the much ballyhooed Las Vegas round?
