Today’s thread is brought to you by the numbers 7 and 18.
Ariana Grande debuts “7 Rings” at the top of the Hot 100. In doing so, she becomes the first artist in the history of the Hot 100 to have her first two Number one songs debut at number one. “7 Rings” also tops the streaming and digital charts.
Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” spends a 31st week in the top 10. That puts it in a tie for 3rd longest in the top 10 with “Uptown Funk”. “Closer” and “How do I Live” spent 32 weeks while “Shape of You” spend 33. The song is down to 9th this week, but their Super Bowl performance will likely give them and the song a lift.
The Backstreet Boys will likely have the number one album on the BB200 – 18 years after their last number one.
