Today’s thread is brought to you by the numbers 8, 10 and 29.
Drake’s “In My Feelings” spends a fifth week at the top of the Hot 100. This is the 24th week this year that Drake has topped the Hot 100 (29 consecutive weeks for Rap songs). Maroon 5 is making a run at number one – how long can Drake’s viral hit keep people leaping out of their cars to dance?

Travis Scott tops the BB200 with his new album “Astroworld”. It’s the second largest of the year (behind Drake). He moves 537K equivalent albums and and impressive 270K in sales (impressive in 2018 – second largest behind the Dave Mathews Band). The top 8 is all Hip-hop (Drake, Mac Miller, Post Malone, YG, Juice WRLD, Cardi B and XXXTencion). Soundtracks are the only ones who can muscle their way into the top 10 (“Mama Mia! Here We go Again” at 28K and “The Greatest Showman” (featuring Loren Allred) with 25K).
For the next while, I will be unable to generate the numbers post, but I will be creating one for each day.
