Paul McCartney earns his first number one album in 36 years with “Egypt Station”. It is credited with 153K in equivalent albums, 147K in traditional album sales. It is the eighth time he has topped the chart, but the first time he has debuted there.
Billboard also notes that Lauren Daigle (who once auditioned for Idol) has the biggest sales week for Christian Music in nearly 9 years. It opened with 115K in equivalent albums.
