A capella sensations, Pentatonix just released a new music video for their cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” The song comes from the group’s latest album Top Pop Vol. 1 which features, along with “Perfect,” renditions of “Attention,” “New Rules,” “Are You That Somebody,” “Havana” and more.
In a recent interview with Billboard, members Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying explained why the group chose to cover “Perfect,”
“That song is just so timeless and so beautiful,” Mitch explained to Billboard. “Honestly, it was just perfect for a Pentatonix arrangement — it was just asking for it. It was perfect.”
Scott added: “It’s one of those ballads you hear and you’re just like, ‘This is a perfectly written song.’ It has beautiful melodies and chords and that always goes well with a PTX arrangement. It was really a no-brainer.”
