Duck Dynasty star, Phil Robertson, continues to say appalling things. In this 2009 video, he advises men to marry compliant, underaged girls. I’m going to assume he’s joking here. He has to be…right?
First, Phil advises the men on picking a wife:
Make sure that she can cook a meal. You need to eat some meals that she cooks, check that out. Make sure she carries her Bible. That’ll save you a lot of trouble down the road.
Oy. Yes, once again, it’s the 50s for Phil! I’ll bet the barefoot and pregnant women he knows never complain and sing while they work!
But that isn’t the worst of it by a long shot. Phil proceeds to joke about marrying teenagers, because the older ones will pick your pockets, instead of your ducks. (Picking ducks is the tedious work of removing feathers after the hunt).
They got to where they’re getting hard to find, mainly because these boys are waiting ‘til they get to be about 20 years old before they marry ’em. Look, you wait ‘til they get to be 20 years old the only picking that’s going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They’ll pick your ducks.
Yes, Phil, joking about marrying underaged girls is just SO GAD DANG FUNNY. I can’t even with this guy, he’s so gross.
There’s been speculation, wondering if A&E will respond to this latest story, which is gathering steam in the press. I doubt it. The network is clear on where the money is. They’ll just make sure all of Phil’s obnoxious and hair raising opinions are edited out of the show itself.
