The American Idol 11 winner’s performance was aired on FOX, part of a longer set of songs performed for a crowd of fans.
Phillip is currently working on his sophomore album, with Gregg Wattenberg helming the effort as producer. with the goal of a May release.
Originally set to perform a brand new song today, Phillip tweeted to his fans, “Hey, just wanted tell everyone that I won’t be performing a new song on the Super Bowl. Not quite ready yet, want to make it right. Soon tho!”
