As it turns out, Phillip Phillip’s appearance at the NHL Awards last night (6/24) in Las Vegas was not live.
The American Idol season 11 winner starred in a video featuring his single “Raging Fire” set to a backdrop of scenes from the National Hockey League’s 2013-2014 season.
There are also shots of Phillip in various locations, including in front of a RAGING FIRE! It’s a little literal. But, for hockey fans, the video was probably a fun treat.
It was pretty good promo too, because every 2 seconds (maybe I exaggerate a little) the song played as backdrop to this that and the other thing. It was wall to wall Phil! I wouldn’t be surprised if he received a little bump in record sales from the exposure.
