Phillip Phillips Searchlight
In a mini-concert performed recently for the ET Canada Orange Lounge, Phillp Phillips introduced a brand new song for our lucky friends up north!
Titled, “Searchlight,” the tune is another cut from the American Idol season 11 winner’s upcoming Behind the Light CD. A GREAT candidate for his next single, the hits just keep coming from Phillip.
The ET website is technically restricted to Canada. HOWEVER if you have the Chrome browser, just download the Hola extension and you’ll be good to go. I watched Downton Abbey on the ITV site last fall using that little tip.

“Searchlight” features Phillip’s trademark propulsive rhythms, underlying a gorgeous melody. The lyrics “Sending out a searchlight/shining out until I find you/Can you bring me back to life/with my heart in smithereens/I wanna feel what it’s like/to be surrounded by you” is more romantic than we’re used to from Phillip.
