Belinda Thomas of the LA Examiner caught with Tim James and Antonina Armato the producing duo known as Rock Mafia, at the Big Bang New Year’s Eve party in Hollywood.
The producers work with American Idol mentor, and Interscope records chairman, Jimmy Iovine and his Universal Music Group artists.
According to the duo, Stefano Langone’s first single from his upcoming debut album is called “I’m On a Roll”. Also, Pia Toscano’s next single will be “Counterfeit”.
Stefano recently revealed in an interview that he had signed a record deal, but an official announcement from his label is still forthcoming. Pia is signed to Interscope records, releasing her first single, “This Time” over the summer. Her debut album is due out this year.
Rock Mafia also talked a little about the upcoming season of Idol. In order to simplify the production process, the American Idol finalists will work with only one producer per week.
