Oh no. After his recent arrest for DUI, country singer, Randy Travis, is once again drunk and in trouble, according to TMZ.
More trouble for Randy Travis … TMZ has learned the embattled singer was involved in a FIGHT in a church parking lot in Texas early this morning.
Law enforcement sources tell us … cops responded to the church around 1 AM after receiving a tip about two men fighting in the parking lot.
We’re told Travis was taken to the hospital after the fight. One source tells us Randy appeared to be “extremely intoxicated.”
7:45 AM PT — The Plano Police Department tells TMZ … Travis was cited for simple assault. We’re told officials believe Randy was the primary aggressor.
Cops say … there was a “family argument” taking place between a husband and a wife … and Randy got involved.
Another man was involved in the fight, but cops say it wasn’t the husband.
Sad. I hope Randy hits bottom before it’s too late.
UPDATED: The Dallas Morning News reports that Randy WAS NOT DRUNK. But he does appear to have a girlfriend who is married. OOPS. The argument began between the girlfriend and her husband. Randy intervened and assaulted the man. He was “He was issued a citation for Class C simple assault, which in Texas can be anything from an an unwanted push to a strike that didn’t cause pain or injury. Everybody refused transport.
