The Voice Clip Show Earned Higher Ratings Than Tuesday Edition
The Voice earned low ratings this week for a good reason. NBC aired a clip show on Monday which recapped the Blind Auditions and Battle Rounds ahead of The Knockouts. Interestingly, the show rated higher than its Tuesday edition.
The Voice producers won’t have to worry about low ratings on Tuesday as The Wall took the singing show’s timeslot on that night. And OOF! The Wall premiere only garnered a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.1M viewers, significantly lower that the 0.50 The Voice garnered in the slot.
American Idol Sunday edition dipped from a 0.65 rating in the demo to a 0.51. CBS aired the Masters Golf Tournament in the late afternoon. 60 Minutes didn’t get started until 7:50 and bled into American Idol’s first hour. That some golf fans kept watching the network after the tournament, meant the veteran news show earned a 0.85 rating and 7.6M viewers.
On the other hand, airing opposite The Voice clip show, American Idol Monday earned a little bump week to week, from a 0.53 rating to 0.56. The Monday edition ratings were also higher than Sundays, which isn’t typical for the show.
Survivor continues to kick butt on Wednesday nights with a 0.71 rating and 5.3M viewers. The Masked Singer earned a 5.1 rating and 3.8M.
