Season 8 Idol Scott MacIntyre announced his engagement to Christina Teich back in February, now they have set a date. The couple will get married on August 18 in Scottsdale AZ.
Scott penned or recorded all of the music that will be used during the wedding, including “I Wanna Be There”. Scott wrote and recorded the song just for the ceremony, and is making it available on iTunes the day of the wedding.
“Christina is a beautiful person, whom I have known since well before Idol, ” says Scott, “She is my soul mate and the best way I know how to express my feelings for her is with a special song for this special day. I Wanna Be There is about staying committed to someone through happiness, sorrow, tears and laughter. That’s the relationship we have, and I’m excited to share the song at our wedding.”
Get married and promote the career in one fell swoop! Way to go Scotty. Congratulations. May you and Christina have many happy years together AND sell a pile of iTune singles.
