On the upcoming episode of Songland, four more aspiring songwriters will pitch their tunes to Latin hit maker, Luis Fonsi. In an episode preview, PipoBeats performs the sexy “Sway” for Luis and panelists Ester Dean, Shane McAnally and Ryan Tedder.

“I’ve never seen the band move like that,” says Shane. Luis calls the song “musical caffeine.” Pipo notes their shared Hispanic heritage. “Like myself,” he says, “We speak the language, but we live in the United States so we have a lot of different influences. I can hear that in this song.”
Ryan thinks the chorus is a smash, but has a few technical pointers regarding the pre-chorus. Luis loves the verse melody, “It’s like the party started right away from the beginning.” But he thinks it needs to be simpler, suggesting the song could use a little big of rearranging and polishing.
