No wonder Adam Lambert was sticking up for X Factor contestant Stacy Francis during her twitter war with blogger and asshat, Perez Hilton! Adam and Stacy worked together, as you can see from this poster advertising a 2008 Upright Cabaret show where they shared the bill. (UPDATE: A host of Upright, Chris Isaacson of Chris Isaacson Presents, tweeted that Stacey was replaced in the Palm Springs show at the last-minute–Adam and Stacy never actually met.)
I agree with Perez that Stacy, at 42, is going to have a hard time launching a pop career, but geez, did he have to mention her in his tweets? He was basically trolling her.
Vote for The Worst has detailed Stacy’s vast experience in showbiz, in this recent blog post. She knows tons of people in show business, has starred on Broadway, in TV shows and she has recorded albums. None of that is problematic in itself, except that she’s left the impression in her X Factor video packages that she’s some poor battered single mom who hasn’t had the opportunity to express herself. Hm. I wish these experienced contestants would be honest at the get go, because this sh*t has a way of eventually leaking out anyway.
