The best thing about the Super Bowl? Are the ads of course! Rollingstone has compiled a list of 22 ads that leaked ahead of the game. You can check them out HERE.
I’m posting a few highlights below. What are some of your favorite Superbowl ads?
Oikos Greek Yogurt featuring Full House.
LOOK. It’s Uncle Jesse and his friends from Full House shilling for Oikos greek yougurt. The trio have made recent appearances on Good Morning America and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon recently, pushing the nostalgia buttons of Millennials everywhere .
The ad itself is a little racy, but what’s the Super Bowl without controversy.
It’s a much bigger issue to diss a major sponsor than make blow job jokes! This Soda Stream ad, featuring actress, Scarlett Johansson, was censored for the swipe it took at Coke and Pepsi. Then, Scarlett parted ways with Oxfam America due to the Israeli company’s presence in the disputed lands of the West Bank.
Stephen Colbert for “Wonderful Pistachios”
Stephen Colbert, in character as the pompous talking head he plays on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, in a “Wonderful Pistachios” ad. IT’S FRENCH BITCH.
Shirtless, pantsless David Beckham for H & M
I thought some of you might enjoy this!
Chobani Yogurt Ad Features a Bear and Bob Dylan
This folksy and humorous ad for Chobani greek Yogurt features a Grizzly bear and Bob Dylan on the soundtrack. Rake in those bucks, Bob.
Cheerios Interracial Couple
How, in 2013, an ad featuring an interracial couple and their child became controversial is beyond my comprehension. But it did, with General Mills needing to shut off youtube comments on the first ad when the conversation turned ugly.
A second ad will be featured during the super bowl. Eff you racists. Little Gracie is beyond adorable.
Budweiser Puppy Love!
Grab your tissues as an adorable puppy and the Budweiser Clydesdales become fast friends, only to be torn apart. But of course, there is a happy ending.
Coke – It’s Beautiful
This ad got some folks panties in a bunch because it features Americans of different cultures singing “America The Beautiful” in different languages. People hilariously swearing off Coke FOREVER! Adding insult to injury: A gay couple and their child is featured. Diversity. Oh the horror.
Bob Dylan Sells Out
For like, the millionth time, actually. Bob Dylan shills for Chrysler, the pitch being, cars that are AMERICAN MADE. It’s all very Woody Guthrie-ish.
Seinfeld Reunion
Well, just Jerry, George and Neuman in a commercial for Carmax.
